Mag-Mate 316M Telescoping Inspection Mirror
The Mag-Mate 316M is a telescoping inspection mirror designed for viewing hidden or hard-to-reach areas in automotive and general maintenance tasks. It extends from a compressed length of 7 1/4 in to a maximum of 36 1/2 in, allowing access to deep cavities without disassembly.
Rectangular Glass Mirror with 3X Magnification
The flat rectangular glass mirror measures 2 1/2 in by 2 in and provides 3X magnification for detailed viewing of small components or text. Mirror adjustment reaches a maximum of 180 degrees, enabling the user to angle the reflective surface around obstacles. A knurled foam handle supplies a secure grip during use.
Suited for Mechanics and DIY Inspection
This tool suits technicians and hobbyists who need a slim-profile mirror with magnification for indoor or outdoor inspection work. It is not for buyers who require a built-in light source, a circular mirror face, or wheels for rolling along surfaces.

Questions about this item
Does the rectangular glass mirror on the Mag-Mate 316M need any special cleaning or replacement over time?
The flat glass mirror measures 2 1/2 by 2 inches and has 3X magnification. Clean it with a soft cloth and standard glass cleaner; the glass itself does not degrade, but if it cracks or the silvering peels you would replace the whole mirror head.
What is the first limit you hit when you keep the mirror fully extended at 36 1/2 inches all day?
At full 36 1/2-inch extension the telescoping shaft can flex, so the practical limit is how steady you can hold the 3X rectangular glass mirror in position before vibration blurs the view.
Does the foam grip or the telescoping shaft get hot or noisy during continuous use?
The tool has no motor or electronics, so it produces no heat and no noise. The foam handle stays at ambient temperature and the telescoping shaft operates silently.
