Mag-Mate Flex Arm Clamp

The Mag-Mate Flex Arm Clamp is a mechanical retrieval tool with a flexible steel shaft and a rare-earth magnetic base. It offers a jaw capacity and maximum compatible thickness of 1-1/4 inches. The tool is designed for retrieving ferrous objects in tight or awkward spaces.

Installation and common issues

The spring-plunger handle allows quick one-handed operation and the flexible shaft bends to reach around obstructions. The nylon handle provides a secure grip during use. Magnetic pull is limited to a maximum of 14 pounds, so heavier items will not hold reliably.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This clamp suits technicians and hobbyists needing a flexible magnetic pickup tool for light ferrous parts. Buyers who need a rigid clamp for structural holding or a tool capable of lifting loads above the stated magnetic pull should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the rare earth magnet is holding at full 14 lb pull after setup?

Attach a known ferrous weight up to the rated 14 lb maximum to the clamp jaws; if it grips without slipping, the magnet is performing to specification.

What components are included and is any accessory required for operation?

The tool ships complete with its 8-1/2 in flexible steel shaft, nylon spring-plunger handle and magnetic clamp head; no extra parts are needed for basic retrieval tasks.

Which capacity version should I choose for a 1 1/4 in jaw opening and 20 lb working load?

This single model provides exactly 1 1/4 in jaw capacity and a 20 lb working load, so it covers that requirement without a separate version selection.
