  • Product typeFlexible, Bendable and Stiff

  • Internal stiffening rod holds shape when positioned
  • Cushioned rubber handle gives secure grip during use
  • Rigid steel shaft resists bending under load

Magnetic Retrieval Tool

The Mag-Mate flexible pickup tool retrieves ferrous metal parts from tight or hard-to-reach spaces. Its bendable shaft holds shape while manoeuvring around obstacles. A 3/8 in diameter head fits into narrow openings. The cushioned rubber handle provides a secure grip during use.

Thermals Noise and Power

This is a passive hand tool with no motor, electronics or power supply. It produces no heat, no audible noise and draws no electricity. Operation relies entirely on manual positioning and the permanent magnet in the head.

Upgrades and Replacements

The tool replaces improvised wires, loose magnets or rigid probes that cannot hold a curve. The internal stiffening rod lets the shaft stay bent without springing back. Buyers who need more than 3 lb of magnetic pull or a longer reach than 20 in will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I position the 3/8 in diameter head into a tight spot without losing the bend?

Bend the flexible steel shaft to the needed angle; the internal stiffening rod holds that shape while you guide the cushioned rubber handle.

What part of this tool is most likely to wear out first?

The rubber-cushioned handle will degrade before the steel shaft or the permanent magnet.

At what point does the magnet stop holding a part during a long retrieval?

The 3 lb magnetic pull capacity is the limiting factor; anything heavier will detach under sustained use.
