Telescoping magnetic retrieval tool extends from 16.5 to 29 inches and lifts up to 20 lb
This Mag-Mate magnetic retrieval tool uses a rare-earth magnet rated for 20 lb pull. The shaft telescopes from 16.5 in to 29 in and is made of corrosion-resistant steel with a cushioned rubber handle.
It replaces a fixed-length pickup tool when you need extra reach behind equipment or inside deep cavities. The jump is worth it if your current tool cannot span the distance between the compressed and extended lengths.
No installation is required; extend the shaft until it locks and engage the magnet. The most common issue is the magnet attaching to unintended ferrous surfaces before you position it over the target.

The shaft compresses to 16.5 in, so it fits any tray or drawer at least that deep. The rubber-cushioned handle adds a small extra length at the end.
Pull the shaft straight out until it locks at each detent; forcing it at an angle can jam the steel sections.
Rare-earth magnets retain strength for decades under normal use. The magnet head is fixed to the shaft and not user-replaceable.
