  • Rare-earth magnet lifts ferrous objects up to 2 lb
  • 24 in compressed length fits easily in a tool pocket
  • Flexible steel shaft reaches into tight or awkward spaces
  • Spring-plunger handle gives secure one-handed operation

Magnetic Retrieval Tool for Tight Spaces

The Mag-Mate magnetic pickup tool reaches 24 in when extended and retracts for compact storage. Its rare-earth magnet lifts ferrous items weighing up to 2 lb. A steel shaft and spring-plunger handle give a firm grip during retrieval tasks.

Retractable Steel Shaft with Spring-Plunger Handle

The fixed steel shaft collapses into the handle, protecting the 3/8 in magnet head when not in use. Spring-plunger action deploys the magnet quickly with one hand. Flexible construction allows the head to manoeuvre around obstacles in engine bays or behind equipment.

Upgrades from Fixed-Length Pickup Tools

Replaces rigid wands that cannot be shortened for toolbox storage or angled into confined cavities. The retractable design is worth it when you need both reach and portability without carrying multiple lengths. Not suited for non-magnetic materials or loads exceeding the 2 lb pull capacity.
