Mag-Mate Magnetic Retrieval Tool Telescoping 13-26 In 12 lb

Magnetic Retrieval Tool with 12 lb Pull

This Mag-Mate tool extends from 13 to 26 inches to reach dropped ferrous parts in tight spaces. A rare-earth magnet rated for 12 lb of pull holds nuts, bolts and small components securely. The rigid steel shaft telescopes smoothly and locks at the needed length. A cushioned rubber grip reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use.

Practical Limits of a Telescoping Magnet

The 12 lb magnetic pull is the maximum holding force; heavier items will detach if lifted vertically. Reach tops out at 26 inches, so deeper cavities remain inaccessible without additional tools. The half-inch head diameter fits many openings but cannot enter smaller bores. Swivel action helps alignment yet adds no extra reach beyond the stated extension.

Upgrading from Fixed-Length Pickup Tools

This replaces a rigid magnetic wand that cannot adjust its length or angle. The telescoping shaft covers multiple reach scenarios with one tool, reducing the need to carry several fixed lengths. The jump is worthwhile when jobs regularly vary between shallow and deep access points. It does not suit non-magnetic materials or loads exceeding the 12 lb rating.
