Magnetic Welding Square 301

The Mag-Mate Magnetic Welding Square 301 provides a 60 lb ceramic magnet for securing ferrous workpieces during welding or fabrication. Its silver ceramic construction resists heat and spatter while maintaining a firm hold on angled joints. The compact 3-3/4 inch length allows placement in tight fixtures where larger clamps cannot reach. Welders and metal fabricators gain a hands-free positioning aid for repeatable alignment.

Thermals noise and power draw

The ceramic magnet operates without electricity so it produces no heat, no audible noise and draws zero power during use. There are no moving parts or coils to warm up under continuous operation. Performance remains consistent regardless of ambient temperature in the workshop. The passive design eliminates any electrical load on shop circuits.

Questions about this item

How do I install the WS301 magnetic welding square and what step is often missed?

Position the 3-3/4 inch ceramic square against both workpieces at the required angle and let the 60 lb magnet engage; the step often missed is confirming the hold on both surfaces before starting work.

What maintenance or replacement will the WS301 magnetic welding square need later?

Wipe the ceramic faces clean of spatter after each use and inspect for cracks or magnet weakening; replace the square if the 60 lb hold drops or the ceramic chips.
