Questions about this item

How do I attach the 3.5 in magnet and what step do people miss?

Thread the eye bolt fully into the tapped hole on the 3.5 in magnet until the shoulder seats flush; the step most people miss is checking that the threads are clean so the bolt cannot back out under load.

What maintenance will the 35 lb permanent magnet need later?

Wipe the pole faces clean of steel grit before each use and store it away from moisture; the permanent magnet itself does not lose its 35 lb holding force and has no internal parts to service.
