SDI Capture & Loop-Through

This Magewell device captures SD, HD, 3G and 2K SDI signals with embedded audio. It also provides a loop-through SDI output so the source signal continues downstream. A line input and line output handle analogue audio routing alongside the digital stream.

USB Connection & Power Check

The unit connects to a host computer via USB. Verify that the host port supplies sufficient power for the device to operate without an external adapter. Confirm the operating system and capture software support UVC and UAC standards for driver-free operation.

Thermal & Acoustic Profile

The compact enclosure relies on passive cooling with no internal fan. Silent operation is maintained during continuous capture sessions. Power draw remains low enough for standard USB bus power under normal use.
