Magmod Magsphere 2 Flash Diffuser video accessory

SKU CH-6ZKY-VDKCH

A magnetic flash diffuser that softens and spreads light for more flattering photography

  • Magnetic attachment enables quick light-shaping changes
  • Omni-directional diffusion softens shadows for flattering portraits
  • Lightweight construction keeps flash head balanced on camera
  • Integrated MagMod system allows stacking modifiers without tools
  • Round design produces natural catch-lights in subject eyes

Magnetic Flash Diffuser

The Magmod Magsphere 2 attaches magnetically to a flash head and spreads the output into a broad, even wash. Photographers who need fast, tool-free light shaping for event, portrait or run-and-gun work will find it fits the existing Magmod ecosystem. Its low profile keeps the modifier close to the source, preserving power while softening shadows.

Thermals Noise Power

The diffuser is a passive silicone shell with no electronics, fans or moving parts, so it generates no heat and adds no audible noise during operation. It does not draw power from the flash or camera, leaving recycle times and battery life unchanged. The lightweight construction avoids stress on the flash head's mounting point.

Sustained Load Behavior

Under continuous firing the silicone body remains stable and does not deform, melt or discolour at normal flash temperatures. Magnetic retention holds securely through repeated recycle cycles without slipping or requiring readjustment. The diffuser continues to deliver the same diffusion pattern shot after shot.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the Magmod Magsphere 2 to my flash?

The diffuser connects magnetically to a compatible Magmod mount on the flash head; the step users often miss is ensuring the mount is already secured before snapping the sphere into place.

What upkeep does the Magmod Magsphere 2 require over time?

Wipe the silicone surface with a soft cloth to remove dust or residue; no internal components need servicing or scheduled replacement.

When does the Magmod Magsphere 2 show its thermal limit during extended shooting?

The silicone body handles continuous flash output without deforming, so the practical limit is the flash unit's own recycle speed rather than the diffuser.
