Smart charger for AA and AAA cells

The C980 charges one to eight AA or AAA nickel-metal hydride or nickel-cadmium cells in independent slots. A ninth-generation MH-NM7108 microprocessor controls each channel separately, so mixed capacities and charge states are handled without conflict. It operates from AC 100-240V 50-60Hz, making it suitable for worldwide use. The unit is CE certified.

Two selectable currents and a conditioning mode

Turbo mode delivers 2.0A for AA and 1.0A for AAA cells, reaching full charge in approximately 60 minutes. Default mode uses 1.0A for AA and 0.5A for AAA, completing in about 120 minutes. Conditioning mode cycles the batteries to restore capacity lost through shallow discharging. Independent slots free the user from charging in pairs or matching cell ages.

Eight 2900 mAh AccuPower AA batteries included

The bundled AccuPower NiMH cells provide 1.2 Volt nominal voltage and 2900 mAh capacity each. They exhibit no memory effect and are rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles, replacing hundreds of alkaline disposables. The cells fit any device that accepts standard AA batteries, offering long-lasting performance across repeated use.
