Smart charger bundle for AA devices

The Powerex C980 smart charger pairs with sixteen AccuLoop-X AA NiMH cells rated at 2600 mAh and 1.2 Volt. The ninth-generation MH-NM7108 microprocessor controls eight independent slots that accept one to eight AA or AAA batteries. It operates on 100-240V AC input at 50-60Hz and is CE certified for worldwide use.

Turbo and conditioning modes change charge speed

Turbo mode delivers 2.0A for AA cells and 1.0A for AAA cells, reaching full charge in approximately 60 minutes. Default mode uses 1.0A for AA and 0.5A for AAA, completing in about 120 minutes. A selectable conditioning mode helps maintain cell health over up to 1000 recharge cycles. The low-self-discharge chemistry holds 85 percent charge after one year in storage.

Simple drop-in placement with slot limits

Cells slide into the eight bays without tools; the microprocessor detects chemistry and manages each slot independently. Only eight batteries charge at once, so the sixteen included cells require two separate sessions. The charger handles both NiMH and NiCd types, but it does not support other chemistries or sizes beyond AA and AAA.

Questions about this item

How many recharge cycles can the included AccuLoop-X AA cells deliver before replacement?

The AccuLoop-X cells are rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles, so they can be recharged roughly a thousand times before capacity drops enough to need new cells.

Which charge current limit is reached first during continuous charging of eight AA cells?

The charger supplies a maximum of 2.0 A per slot in Turbo mode, so the per-slot current limit is the first constraint when all eight slots are active.

How much heat or fan noise does the C980 produce when running all day in Turbo mode?

The charger has no internal fan; it relies on passive cooling, so it runs silently and its exterior warms to a moderate temperature during extended Turbo-mode sessions.
