What this charger does

The Maha MH-C204W charges two or four AA or AAA nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries. It delivers a 2.0A charge rate for AA cells and a 0.7A rate for AAA cells, with a 0.4A discharge function. The unit operates on 100-240VAC input at 50/60Hz for worldwide use.

Who should buy it, who should not

This suits users who need a compact charger for standard NiMH cells without carrying a separate power adapter. It is not for buyers who want to charge lithium-ion, NiCd or other chemistries, or who need more than four simultaneous charging slots.

Check before ordering

Verify that your batteries are AA or AAA size and use nickel-metal hydride chemistry. Confirm your mains supply falls within the 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz range. No external adapter is required because the power supply is built into the charger.

Questions about this item

What type of batteries must I already have to use the MH-C204W?

The charger works with AA or AAA nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries.

Can I charge a mix of AA and AAA cells at the same time in the four slots?

Yes, the four independent channels accept any combination of AA and AAA NiMH batteries simultaneously.

How do I know the charger is functioning correctly after I plug it in?

The 5th-generation Powerex Delta V microprocessor runs a 4-stage cycle — ramp-up, rapid charge, top-off and maintenance — so normal completion of those stages shows it is working.
