Four-Bay SATA DAS with USB-C 10 Gbps

The MAIWO enclosure holds four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs in a single aluminium chassis. It connects to a host computer through a USB-C 10 Gbps link and appears as individual volumes because no RAID controller is present. Two temperature-controlled fans start automatically when drive temperature exceeds 48 °C. An 84 W external power adapter supplies every bay.

Suits users who need direct access to multiple raw

Creative professionals and archivists who want each disk visible to the operating system will benefit from the JBOD layout. The daisy-chain port lets you attach a second enclosure for more bays without consuming extra host ports. Buyers who require hardware RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 must choose a different product because this unit provides none.

USB-C 10 Gbps host interface decides fit

The single upstream connection caps total throughput at 10 Gbps shared across all four drives. If your workflow demands sustained aggregate bandwidth above that figure, the interface becomes the bottleneck. Verify that your host port delivers USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 performance before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the MAIWO 4-bay enclosure ship with drives or do I need to buy 3.5" SATA HDDs separately?

The enclosure arrives empty; you must supply up to four 3.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs, each up to 24 TB, for a total of 96 TB.

Should I pick the 10 Gbps USB-C model or a slower version for large 24 TB drives?

The 10 Gbps USB-C interface keeps transfer speeds high enough for 24 TB drives and the 84 W power adapter keeps them stable.

What does the 10 Gbps USB-C rating mean when I plug four 24 TB drives into a real PC?

You get up to 10 Gbps shared bandwidth across all four bays, with automatic fan activation at 48 °C and an HDTV port for 4K video output.
