Four-bay SATA RAID enclosure for 3.5" drives

This enclosure holds up to four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and connects to a host over USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 using the included USB-A and USB-C cables. It is aimed at professionals, businesses and power users who need a direct-attached storage device for backups, media libraries or surveillance footage. The unit ships new with an external AC adapter and uses aluminium and plastic construction.

Eight RAID modes including JBOD and clone

The controller offers Normal, RAID 0, RAID 3, RAID 5, RAID 1/10, Clone and Large (JBOD) configurations, letting you choose between performance, redundancy or simple spanning without extra software. Maximum supported capacity is 96 TB using four 24 TB drives. Drives are not included and must be purchased separately.

Built-in fan for active cooling

A cooling fan is integrated into the chassis to move air across the installed drives during sustained workloads. The enclosure draws power from the supplied AC adapter and reports individual drive status through front-panel LED indicators. No further thermal or acoustic specifications are provided by the manufacturer.

Questions about this item

What does the 96 TB headline capacity actually give me when the drives are installed?

The enclosure accepts up to four 24 TB SATA drives, so the 96 TB figure is the total raw space before any RAID overhead; usable capacity depends on the RAID mode you select.

The box mentions USB 3.0 and 3.1 — what real-world throughput does that interface cap at?

The USB-C connection runs at up to 5 Gbps, so sustained transfers will be limited by that bus speed rather than the individual SATA drives.

What physical space and power does the unit need to sit on a desk?

It holds four 3.5-inch drives in an aluminium-and-plastic chassis with a built-in fan and ships with an AC adapter for mains power.
