Dual-bay SATA and NVMe enclosure

This MAIWO enclosure holds one M.2 NVMe SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 sizes alongside one 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA drive. A USB-C connection links both bays to a host at up to 10 Gbps for NVMe and 6 Gbps for SATA. The unit includes a 12 V 3 A power adapter and a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Suits users swapping between NVMe and SATA drives

Offline cloning lets you copy data from NVMe to SATA or SATA to NVMe without a computer. Auto-sleep activates after ten minutes of inactivity to protect the drives. Builders who need more than two drives at once or who require an interface other than USB-C should consider other solutions.

10 Gbps USB-C NVMe throughput

The NVMe bay reaches 10 Gbps while the SATA bay is limited to 6 Gbps, so the NVMe drive determines peak transfer performance. UASP support on Windows 8 and later helps sustain those speeds during large file moves.

Questions about this item

How do I keep the drives healthy when the enclosure sits idle all day?

The auto-sleep function powers down the SATA and NVMe bays after 10 minutes of inactivity, reducing wear and heat on both drives.

What speed ceiling will I hit first during long transfers?

The SATA bay tops out at 6 Gbps while the NVMe bay reaches 10 Gbps, so the SATA drive becomes the bottleneck first.

How warm and noisy does the unit get after hours of continuous cloning?

With no fan and an ABS plastic shell, it runs silently; heat stays modest thanks to auto-sleep and the external 12 V / 3 A adapter handling power conversion.
