Cuts wood, tile, fiberglass, plastic and fiber-cement siding with aggressive carbide teeth and a 57 mm cup depth
The Malco HF15 is a six-inch carbide-tipped hole saw designed for professional tradespeople who need clean cuts through layered building materials. It handles wood, wall tile, fiberglass, plastic and fibre-cement siding such as James Hardie and CertainTeed products with aggressive teeth and deep self-cleaning gullets. The generous cup depth of 57 mm suits a variety of wall cross sections. A quick-connect arbor allows fast changes between the saw and pilot drills.
Carbide tips reduce heat build-up when cutting dense or abrasive siding, keeping the tool running cooler during extended jobs. Deep gullets eject chips efficiently, lowering drag on the drill motor and minimising binding in thick stock. The extra-length pilot drill extends 25 mm beyond the teeth, stabilising the cut on uneven surfaces like lap siding without extra side pressure. This geometry keeps vibration and noise lower than standard bi-metal saws in the same materials.
The quick-change pilot drills come in high-speed steel and carbide-tipped versions, letting the user match the bit to the substrate without buying a new arbor. A unique quick-release feature ejects saw plugs automatically, clearing the cup for the next hole and reducing downtime on repetitive tasks. Nineteen available diameters cover most common pipe, vent and conduit sizes, so one arbor system serves the entire job. No software or digital features are included.

Slide the arbor into the hole saw until it clicks, then insert the pilot drill so its hex shank locks tight; the step often missed is fully seating the pilot drill until the hex engages the quick-release mechanism.
The carbide-tipped teeth stay sharp longer, but the pilot drill — available in high-speed steel or carbide — will eventually wear and need replacement; the quick-change design lets you swap it without removing the hole saw.
The 57 mm cup depth limits the maximum material thickness you can cut in one pass; for thicker cross-sections you must stop and clear the plug before continuing.
