240W USB-C to USB-C Cable

The MALOM USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 cable delivers up to 240W of USB Power Delivery 3.1 power and 20Gbps data transfer between USB-C devices. It also supports 4K video output at 60Hz when connected to compatible hosts and displays. An integrated E-Marker chip manages power negotiation for safe charging.

Suited for high-power laptops

This cable suits users who need full 240W charging for devices such as MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, recent iPhone models, Galaxy S series phones or Steam Deck. It is not for buyers who require longer reach than the 3.3 ft length provides or who need Thunderbolt 3 data rates beyond 20Gbps.

240W Power Delivery 3.1 rating

The single specification that decides fit is the 240W PD 3.1 capability. Only chargers and devices that also support PD 3.1 at this wattage will negotiate the maximum power; otherwise the cable operates at the highest mutually supported level.

Questions about this item

Does the cable get warm or draw extra power when I push 240W charging all day?

The cable carries up to 240W PD 3.1 through its E-Marker chip; heat stays low because the conductors are sized for the full rating.

What must my charger and device already support for 240W charging and 20Gbps data to work?

Both ends need USB-C ports with PD 3.1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 capability; the cable simply passes those signals through.

Will 4K60 video work when I plug this into my older Thunderbolt 3 dock?

Yes — the cable is Thunderbolt 3 compatible and supports 4K at 60Hz, so it will drive the dock's display output without signal loss.
