Compact fluid video head

The Manfrotto Befree Live Video Head is a lightweight fluid head built for videographers who need smooth pan and tilt in a small package. It supports cameras up to 4 kg and weighs only 0.4 kg. The 501PL quick-release plate with 1/4"-20 screw lets you mount and balance a camera quickly.

Sustained fluid drag performance

The fluid drag system delivers consistent resistance during long takes, preventing the sticky starts that can ruin a shot after the head sits idle. Aluminium construction keeps the movement stable even when the payload approaches the 4 kg limit. The 9.7 cm height keeps the centre of gravity low for steadier pans.

Simple mounting with one common trap

The sliding 501PL plate locks with a single lever and the 1/4"-20 screw fits most cameras without adapters. The only frequent issue is forgetting to re-tighten the pan lock after levelling, which lets the head drift during a take. No tools are required for normal setup.
