EDC Flashlight with 1000 Lumens

The Nitecore MT2A Pro is a compact everyday-carry flashlight that delivers up to 1000 lumens with a beam reaching 279 yards. It measures under six inches long and weighs 3.45 ounces, making it easy to carry in a pocket or bag. A two-way pocket clip secures it to belts, backpacks or gear for quick access.

USB-C Rechargeable with Alkaline Backup

The light charges via USB-C and can also run on two standard alkaline batteries when a charger is not available. This dual-power design keeps the flashlight operating with widely available cells during extended trips. The tail switch cycles through three brightness levels and remembers the last setting used.

279 Yard Beam Distance

The 279 yard throw determines whether this penlight suits your outdoor or tactical needs. Buyers who require a longer reach for search-and-rescue or wide-area scanning should consider a larger spotlight instead.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the USB-C rechargeable version or the alkaline-battery version for daily carry?

The MT2A Pro is a single model that accepts both power sources; you charge it via USB-C or insert two standard alkaline cells when a charger isn't handy.

What does the 1000-lumen rating actually deliver when I'm walking the dog at night?

At its highest setting the light throws a 279-yard beam, bright enough to illuminate distant obstacles while still fitting in a pocket.

How does the USB-C port limit charging speed or compatibility in practice?

The built-in USB-C port recharges the internal cell directly; no special adapter or fast-charge protocol is required beyond a standard USB power source.
