One Mic for Streamers and Podcasters

The Maono PD100XS is a dynamic microphone offering both XLR and USB connections for computer-based creators. It targets gamers, streamers and podcasters who need a single device for vocal recording and voice-over work. The unidirectional capsule focuses on sound directly in front of the mic while rejecting ambient room noise. A sturdy boom arm and desk clamp are included for quick tabletop mounting on surfaces up to two inches thick.

Dual Interface Fits Mixer or Direct USB Setup

The XLR output connects to a mixer, audio interface or sound card for traditional studio routing. The USB port provides plug-and-play operation on Windows, Mac, PS4 and PS5 without extra hardware. This flexibility frees up desk space by removing the need for a separate interface when recording directly to a computer. Note that the XLR cable is not included and the microphone is not compatible with Xbox consoles.

Sustained Clarity with Software Noise Control

A 24-bit/48kHz sampling rate captures richer detail than standard 16-bit alternatives, while the 48Hz-16KHz frequency response covers the vocal range. The built-in dynamic capsule works with MAONO Link software to suppress background noise continuously during long sessions, though software noise reduction functions only in USB mode. A 2-in-1 smart knob handles gain and headphone volume for real-time monitoring, and a one-tap mute button provides instant silence when needed.

Questions about this item

How does the 24-bit/48 kHz sampling rate affect detail compared with 16-bit alternatives?

The higher sampling rate captures 50 % more sound detail, delivering richer and clearer audio for streaming or recording.

Does the microphone generate noticeable heat or fan noise during long sessions?

The unit has no active cooling, so it runs silently and stays cool even during all-day use.

Which accessories are required before the XLR connection will work?

An XLR cable is not included, so you must supply your own cable plus a mixer, audio interface or sound card with an XLR input.
