Brass Compass with Engraved Message

This solid brass compass measures 50mm by 18mm and features an engraved inspirational quote under a glass cover. It is designed for outdoor navigation during hiking, camping, boating, and hunting. The high-quality jeweled needle settles quickly to north for accurate readings. A side lever operates a needle lift mechanism to protect the bearing when not in use.

Ready to Use with Leather Case

The compass arrives new with a stamped leather case measuring 3.5 by 3.5 by .8 inches, so no assembly or installation is required. Simply open the case and release the needle lift lever to begin navigating. The brass construction is waterproof and shockproof, resisting rain, wind, bumps, and scratches. The only common issue is forgetting to engage the lift lever during transport, which can stress the jeweled pivot over time.

50mm Brass Case Decides Fit

The 50mm diameter brass case determines whether this compass fits your preferred carry method, such as a pocket, pouch, or neck lanyard. Buyers needing a smaller button compass for a survival kit or a larger baseplate model for map work should look elsewhere. The included leather case adds 3.5 inches of bulk, which may not suit minimalist packing. Consider the physical dimensions against your specific kit requirements before purchasing.
