Mortise Entry Lockset for Right-Hand Doors
The Marks Metro 116A/26D is a mortise lockset finished in satin chrome and built for right-hand doors. It uses a thru-bolted, screwless angled lever escutcheon plate assembly with independent spring-loaded captivated spindles and lever support springs. The set includes a solid brass cylinder and two keys.
2-1/2" Backset with 1" Deadbolt Throw
The lock carries a 2-1/2 inch backset and a 1 inch deadbolt throw, dimensions that must match the door preparation. The front face plate measures 1-1/16 by 7-5/8 inches. Operation is by keyed cylinder on the outside and thumb turn on the inside, keyed different from other locks.
Suited for Commercial ADA-Compliant Entrances
This lockset is ADA approved and intended for commercial entrance doors needing lever operation and a mortise chassis. It is not for left-hand doors, cylindrical prep doors, or residential tubular latch installations. Buyers needing a different handing, backset, or cylinder keying should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item
What does the 2-1/2" backset mean once the lock is fitted?
It places the centre of the cylinder 2-1/2 inches from the door edge, so the mortise pocket must be cut at that distance for the latch and deadbolt to align with the strike.
How does the mortise interface limit what the lock can do in practice?
The lock fits a standard mortise pocket and uses a 1-inch deadbolt throw; the cylinder operates from outside and the thumb-turn from inside, so the door must be prepped for a full mortise body.
What does the right-hand, thru-bolted escutcheon need to mount correctly?
The door must be 1-3/4 inches thick with a 1-1/16 by 7-5/8 inch face-plate cut-out; the angled lever assembly thru-bolts through the lock body, so no surface screws are visible.
