Sweet-faced giraffe keepsake

The Mary Meyer Afrique Giraffe Keepsake Blanket pairs a sweet-faced giraffe with a 13 x 13-inch square blanket. Neutral colours enhance the uniquely soft fabric and grey ribbed lining. Each corner carries a fabric knot that gives little hands something easy to grab and hold. Machine washable on a gentle cycle with air dry recommended.

Practical care limits

The blanket is machine washable, yet the maker advises a gentle cycle and air drying to protect the soft fabric and ribbed lining. Tumble drying or harsh detergents can degrade the plush texture and loosen the corner knots. Following the recommended care routine preserves the neutral colours and the giraffe’s stitched details over time.

Size and sensory headroom

The 13-inch square offers enough surface for swaddling, tummy time or stroller cover use while staying compact for nappy-bag storage. The four corner knots supply tactile variety that supports early grasping practice. The giraffe’s sweet face adds a focal point for visual tracking. The single-layer construction means it is not suited for cold-weather insulation or heavy-duty play mats.
