A 17-inch grey plush bear for nurseries and gifting

The Mary Meyer Putty Bear in medium size is a soft teddy companion designed for little ones to hold and cuddle. Its neutral grey tone suits modern nursery decor and it works well as a baby shower present. The bear is part of a coordinated family that includes 11-inch and 20-inch versions in Cream, Dusty Rose and Grey.

Check the recipient's age

This item is the 17-inch medium version, so confirm that the larger 20-inch or smaller 11-inch option is not a better fit for the child or the available space. The bear uses sewn-in bean bags for weight, so verify that the intended user can handle a weighted plush safely. No batteries or assembly are required.

Ultra-soft fabric with sewn nose and weighted

The plush features a sewn fabric nose rather than a hard plastic piece, reducing a choking concern for younger children. Sewn-in bean bags give the bear a gentle heft that helps it sit upright on a shelf or bed. Mary Meyer has produced toys since 1933 and is recognised for environmentally conscious manufacturing and multiple Toy of the Year awards.
