Soft comfort for babies and toddlers

The Mary Meyer Lovey Duck is an 11-inch plush toy designed for infants and young children who need a soothing companion. Its understuffed body and knotted corners make it easy for small hands to grasp and carry. The soft sculpted face with embroidered eyes adds a gentle, friendly appearance.

Safety and care limits

The toy meets or exceeds US safety requirements and is machine washable on a cold gentle cycle with air drying recommended. No electronic components or batteries are present, so there are no charging or connectivity limits. The recycled plastic fabric is durable but should be kept away from direct heat sources.

Simple setup and common issues

No assembly is required; the lovey is ready to use straight from the package. The main issue parents encounter is losing the toy due to its portable size, so keeping a spare on hand can help. Regular washing maintains softness and hygiene for everyday use.

Questions about this item

Is the 11-inch size right for a newborn or better for an older baby?

The lovey measures approximately 11 inches, a size that fits easily in small hands and is light enough for a newborn to grasp while still being substantial enough for toddler cuddles.

How does the understuffed body feel when the toy is held?

The understuffed design gives a floppy, relaxed body that drapes naturally, making it easy to carry, snuggle and pose without any stiff internal structure.

Can the recycled-fabric lovey be machine washed without losing softness?

Yes — wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry; the recycled-plastic plush is made to meet or exceed US safety standards and retains its texture after washing.
