Soft cloth book for babies

This Mary Meyer Taggies book measures six inches square and contains eight bendable fabric pages. A Velcro closure keeps it shut while a plush hedgehog applique decorates the cover. Crinkle paper and a squeaker inside provide auditory feedback when pages are squeezed. The lightweight construction suits small hands from birth.

Suits sensory play and travel

The washable cloth design works well for car-seat entertainment and tummy-time exploration. Babies who prefer rigid board pages or high-contrast black-and-white images will not find those features here. The single-character theme also limits variety for families wanting a broader library.

Check care routine and closure preference

Verify that cold gentle-cycle washing and air drying fit your laundry habits before purchase. Confirm the Velcro fastener is acceptable for your child's age and dexterity. Ensure the six-inch format matches the storage space available in your nappy bag or pram pocket.

Questions about this item

Does the book need any batteries or external power for the crinkle and squeaker sounds?

No, the crinkle paper and squeaker are built into the cloth pages and make sound when baby squeezes or bends them.

Can the Velcro closure on this 6-inch Heather Hedgehog book catch on other fabrics in a nappy bag?

The Velcro strip is small and low-profile; it secures the book shut but is unlikely to snag blankets or clothing stored alongside it.

After washing the book on a cold gentle cycle and air-drying, how can I check the squeaker still works?

Give the centre pages a firm squeeze — if you hear a clear squeak, the internal squeaker is intact and functioning.
