Steel padlock with BumpStop
The Master Lock padlock uses a steel body and boron shackle to resist cutting and prying. Its four-pin cylinder includes BumpStop technology that blocks bump-key attacks. The lock is keyed alike to number A152 so multiple units open with the same key.
Keyed-alike convenience
All locks in the set share key number A152, removing the need to carry separate keys for each padlock. Control-key registration is required, limiting duplication to authorised personnel. The rectangular body and long shackle fit standard hasps and chains without modification.
Four-pin security limits
The four-pin cylinder provides basic pick resistance for low-risk indoor or sheltered outdoor use. It lacks a high-security rating and is not weather resistant, so prolonged exposure to rain or salt air will degrade the mechanism. Buyers needing certified high-security or marine-grade protection should select a different lock.

Questions about this item
Will the 4-pin cylinder or boron shackle need replacement first under heavy use?
The 4-pin cylinder is the wear item; boron shackles resist cutting so the lock mechanism typically requires service before the shackle fails.
What stops a Master Lock No. A152 keyed-alike padlock from being opened after thousands of cycles?
Internal pin springs and driver pins fatigue first, causing the cylinder to bind or turn roughly before the steel body or boron shackle shows wear.
Does the steel body or the BumpStop feature generate noticeable heat when the padlock sits in direct sun all day?
The solid steel body absorbs solar heat and becomes hot to the touch, while the BumpStop components remain at ambient temperature.
