Authentic Ballerina Styling

The Mattel Wheels DWJ99 Barbie Ballerina Doll delivers authentic dancer styling in an 11.5-inch fashion doll format designed for imaginative role play and performance-themed storytelling. The doll features a floral-accented top and a signature purple extendable transparent tutu constructed from layered fabric that fans outward to simulate stage-ready flair.

Ideal for Young Dancers

This doll suits children aged 3 and up who enjoy ballet-themed storytelling and solo imaginative play. It also works well for collectors expanding an existing Barbie doll collection. Children who prefer non-dancer themes or need electronic interactive features should look at something else.

Compatible with Barbie Scale

The doll fits standard Barbie-scale accessories and playsets sold separately, allowing it to integrate into an existing play environment. Its pre-styled classic ballerina bun requires no additional setup, freeing up time for immediate performance play. The tutu extends manually and returns to a compact position for simple storage.

Questions about this item

What Barbie-scale accessories or playsets does the DWJ99 doll work with?

The doll is compatible with standard Barbie-scale accessories and playsets sold separately, so any existing wardrobe, furniture or vehicle in that scale will fit the 11.5-inch figure.

Can the extendable tutu on this DWJ99 doll be used alongside older Barbie dolls in a mixed collection?

Yes, the purple transparent tutu fans out manually and retracts for storage, and the doll shares the classic 11.5-inch form factor so it fits seamlessly with earlier Barbie dolls in group dance scenes.

How can I confirm the DWJ99 doll’s tutu mechanism is operating correctly after opening the box?

Gently pull the tutu outward — it should fan open smoothly into a full purple transparent skirt and then fold back compactly when pushed down, with the sculpted ballet arms and pointed shoes holding their pose.
