Single-light Olde Brass wall sconce

The Maxim 3043RPOLB Schooner is a one-light outdoor wall sconce finished in Olde Brass. A tapered square shade with clear Ripple glass panels diffuses illumination while evoking a nautical lantern profile. Rivet detailing and an antique brass medallion complete the period look.

Wiring and mounting check before ordering

Verify that the existing junction box is rated for outdoor use and positioned at the desired mounting height. Confirm the supply voltage matches the fixture rating and that local codes permit the installation location. Ensure the wall surface can support the bracket and that clearances from doors, windows and walkways meet regulations.

Replaces dated porch or entry lanterns

This sconce upgrades older single-bulb fixtures that have corroded finishes or yellowed glass. The jump is worth it when the existing hardware no longer seals against weather or when the style clashes with a refreshed exterior palette. Buyers needing multi-light output or motion-sensor integration should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 3043 Schooner sconce include a bulb or do I need to buy one separately?

The fixture takes a single medium-base bulb that is not supplied, so you will need to purchase a compatible lamp before installation.

How do I decide between the 3043 model and other outdoor sconces in the same range?

Choose this model when you want a tapered square Ripple-glass shade in Olde Brass with antique-brass medallion and rivet details that replicate a nautical lantern.

What does the Proposition 65 warning on the 3043 fixture mean for everyday use?

The warning indicates the product contains a chemical known to California to cause cancer and reproductive harm; normal outdoor mounting and handling pose no acute risk when installed as intended.
