Installation flexibility

The Basic-Max ceiling fan installs three ways: close mount, standard stem or optional stems up to 72 inches long. This adaptability suits rooms with varying ceiling heights and design preferences. Buyers who need a fixed rod length only will not benefit from the adjustable options.

Safety compliance

The product carries California Proposition 65 warnings for chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. No thermals, noise or power draw data are provided for this light kit. Buyers who require energy consumption figures must consult separate documentation.

Included components

The FKT208FTBK kit supplies a three-light assembly without a wattage limiter and includes JA8 bulbs. This simplifies installation by providing compliant lamps in the box. Buyers who prefer to select their own bulbs or need a limiter should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How is the Basic-Max ceiling fan installed with the 72" stem kit, and what step is often missed?

The fan can be close-mounted, used with the standard stem, or extended with optional stems up to 72 inches; the step often missed is selecting and securing the correct mounting method for the ceiling height before wiring.

What maintenance or replacement will the FKT208FTBK 3-light kit need over time?

The kit includes JA8-compliant bulbs; when they reach end of life, replace them with equivalent JA8-rated bulbs to maintain compliance and performance.

What limit appears first during sustained operation of the Basic-Max fan with this light kit?

The light kit operates without a wattage limiter, so the practical limit is the thermal rating of the installed JA8 bulbs and the fixture's maximum wattage capacity.
