Product identity

The Maxim Bulwark is a 10.25-inch white outdoor wall sconce built from high-impact polycarbonate. Its non-corrosive construction suits coastal environments where salt air attacks metal fixtures. The single-light design fits entrances, pathways and covered patios needing a durable bulkhead luminaire.

Practical limits

The polycarbonate housing resists corrosion but is not rated for direct immersion or extreme impact beyond normal outdoor exposure. California Proposition 65 warnings indicate the product contains chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm, so handling and disposal must follow local regulations. The E26 socket configuration accepts standard lamps up to the fixture's rated maximum.

Installation notes

Mounting hardware attaches to a standard junction box; the lightweight polycarbonate body eases one-person fitting. Common issues include overtightening screws which can crack the housing, and using lamps that exceed the thermal limits of the socket. Ensure the supply wiring is rated for outdoor wet locations before energising.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the integrated LED or the E26 socket version of the Bulwark sconce?

Choose integrated LED for a sealed, maintenance-free fitting, or the E26 socket if you want to select your own replaceable lamp.

What does the 10.25" width mean for coverage on my wall?

The 10.25" wide polycarbonate housing casts a broad bulkhead beam suited to entryways, patios or coastal walls.

How does the E26 base limit the bulb I can install?

The standard E26 socket accepts any compatible screw-base lamp up to the fixture's rated maximum, letting you set colour temperature and output yourself.
