Outpost 1-Light Outdoor Wall Sconce

The Maxim Mfg. 26106BK Outpost is a single-light outdoor wall sconce finished in black. It uses a classic cylinder up-and-down design that directs light without glare. Suited for homeowners who want focused illumination on entryways, patios or pathways. Not for buyers who need a fixture with integrated LED modules or smart-home controls.

6-Inch Width and 7.25-Inch Height

The sconce measures 6 inches wide by 7.25 inches high, making it the smallest of three available sizes. This compact footprint fits tight wall spaces beside doors or along narrow walkways. Builders who require a larger spread of light should select one of the bigger models in the same range.

Compatible with Incandescent or LED Lamps

The fixture accepts standard medium-base lamps, so you can choose incandescent or LED bulbs to match your preferred colour temperature and efficiency. It mounts directly to a standard junction box and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Not for installations that demand a fully sealed, vapour-proof enclosure.

Questions about this item

What does the 65 warning mean once the sconce is installed outside?

The California Proposition 65 notice indicates the fixture contains a chemical the state recognises as a cancer or reproductive-hazard risk; normal outdoor use does not change that classification.

How does the 26106 model connect to the house wiring?

It mounts to a standard wall junction box and wires directly to the branch circuit supplying the outdoor lighting circuit.

What physical space does the 7.25 inch height and 6 inch width require on the wall?

The cylinder needs a flat vertical surface at least 7.25 inches tall by 6 inches wide, plus clearance for the mounting bracket and wiring compartment behind it.
