Product Identity

The Maxim Mfg. 2680MROI Malaga is a 12.5-inch wide flush mount fixture finished in oil rubbed bronze. It uses two light sources to provide general illumination for residential rooms such as hallways, bedrooms or utility spaces where a low-profile ceiling light is required.

Sustained Operation

The fixture is designed for continuous residential use and contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm under Proposition 65. Its basic decorative style and standard construction deliver consistent light output during extended daily operation without specialised thermal management features.

Installation Checklist

Verify that your ceiling junction box is rated to support the fixture weight and that the mounting hardware matches the existing electrical box configuration. Confirm the supply wiring meets local code requirements for the circuit and that the oil rubbed bronze finish suits the surrounding decor before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the Malaga 2680MROI generate noticeable heat or noise when left on all day?

The flush mount uses two bulbs and has no moving parts, so it runs silently and produces only the normal warmth from the lamps themselves.

What existing wiring or hardware is needed to install the 12.5" oil-rubbed bronze fixture?

A standard ceiling junction box rated for the fixture weight and a household lighting circuit are required; the unit mounts directly to the box.

Will the 2-light Malaga 2680MROI work alongside older dimmers or switches already in the house?

It operates with standard on-off switches; dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose rather than the fixture itself.
