Product identity

The Maxim Mfg. 27570 Compass is a two-light flush mount designed for interior spaces. It suits homeowners seeking a decorative ceiling fixture with a sphere-inspired silhouette. The piece is constructed from heavy channel metal finished in Antique Pecan with Black accents. It delivers the visual warmth of wood with the durability of metal.

Sustained operation

The fixture is intended for standard residential lighting circuits and provides consistent illumination during extended daily use. No integrated dimming, smart controls or specialised ballast are described in the specifications. Performance remains stable as long as the supply voltage and ambient conditions stay within normal household ranges.

Thermals and power

The design uses open-air construction around the two lamp holders, allowing heat to dissipate naturally into the room. No active cooling, fan or dedicated heat sink is included. Power draw depends entirely on the wattage of the two bulbs installed by the user. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to chemicals present in the materials.

Questions about this item

Does the 27570 Compass flush mount produce noticeable heat or noise when left on all day?

The fixture uses standard bulbs that generate typical warmth and operates silently with no moving parts.

What electrical components must already be in place for the 27570 Compass to install and function?

A ceiling junction box rated for the fixture weight and a standard household circuit are required; the mount includes its own canopy and hardware.

Will the 27570 Compass work alongside older dimmer switches or vintage wiring I may keep?

Compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose; standard incandescent or dimmable LED bulbs will operate with most legacy dimmers and wiring.
