Two-Light Wall Sconce Swing Arm

The Maxim Mfg. Atom is a new two-light wall sconce with a swing-arm design, finished in Black with Polished Nickel accents and round White opal glass shades. It suits dry indoor locations and brings a Mid-Century Modern industrial look to hallways, bedrooms or living areas. No bulbs are included, so buyers choose their preferred 40-watt lamps.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This fixture suits homeowners wanting an adjustable, plug-in style wall light with a vintage industrial aesthetic for dry rooms. It is not for buyers who need damp-rated outdoor lighting, integrated LED modules, or a fixed-mount sconce without swing-arm movement.

Deciding specification: 40-watt lamp rating

Each of the two sockets accepts a maximum 40-watt bulb, which sets the total light output and energy use for the installation. Select bulbs at or below this wattage to match the fixture rating and avoid overheating. The wattage limit is the single figure that determines whether the sconce meets the buyer's brightness needs.

Questions about this item

What type of bulbs do I need to buy for the two sockets?

You need two bulbs with a standard medium-base fitting, each rated no higher than 40 watts; bulbs are not included.

Can I keep my existing wall box and wiring when I install this sconce?

The fixture is designed for standard residential wiring and a dry-location wall box, so your existing box can be used if it meets local code.

How can I confirm the sconce is operating correctly after installation?

Turn on the wall switch; both opal glass shades should illuminate evenly without flicker, and the metal arms should remain cool to the touch after a few minutes.
