Two-Pack 40 Gbps Cable

This two-pack supplies two USB-C to USB-C cables rated for Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 at 40 Gbps. Each cable handles up to 240 W power delivery and carries 8K or 5K video signals, so one lead replaces separate data, charging and display cords for MacBooks, Thunderbolt docks, external SSDs, eGPUs and high-resolution monitors.

Check Port Capability

Verify that your host and peripheral both support Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 with DisplayPort Alt Mode to unlock the full 40 Gbps bandwidth, 240 W charging and dual 4K or single 8K video. Standard USB-C ports without Alt Mode will limit video to a single display and may reduce data throughput, while devices lacking Thunderbolt or USB4 negotiation will fall back to lower speeds and power levels.

Build Integration

The 3.3 ft nylon-sheathed cables reach across a typical desk without excess slack, connecting docks, NVMe enclosures or monitors directly to a laptop or workstation. An integrated E-Marker chip manages safe power negotiation up to 240 W, freeing you from carrying multiple specialised cables while keeping the setup tidy for professional media workflows and high-speed backup routines.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack include any adapters or power bricks, or is it just the two cables?

The package contains two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C to USB-C cables, each 3.3 ft long. No adapters or power bricks are included.

When should I choose this Thunderbolt 4 40 Gbps cable instead of the Thunderbolt 5 80 Gbps version?

Choose this cable for Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 hosts that need 40 Gbps data, 240 W charging, and single 8K or dual 4K display support. The Thunderbolt 5 model targets hosts with 80 Gbps bandwidth.

Will the 240 W rating charge my 100 W laptop at full speed through this cable?

Yes. The integrated E-Marker chip negotiates up to 240 W, so a 100 W laptop will charge at its maximum rate provided the charger and host both support that power level.
