It operates with a storeroom function, meaning the outside lever is always locked and requires a key for entry while the inside lever remains free for egress. The unit features a wide face plate measuring 1-1/4" x 8" and a 2-1/2" backset. It is supplied with a solid brass cylinder and two keys.

Verify Door Handing and Backset Before Purchase

This lock is configured specifically for left-hand doors and will not operate correctly on right-hand openings. Confirm that your door preparation matches the 2-1/2" backset dimension and the wide face plate mortise cutout of 1-1/4" x 8". The through-bolted plate assemblies require compatible door thickness for the screwless knob installation.
