Solid brass mortise cylinder for standard doors

The Maxtech B112SC1-03 is a 1-1/2 inch mortise cylinder finished in US3 polished brass. It uses a 5 pin tumbler mechanism and a Standard Cam #1 to operate most mortise lock bodies found on residential and light commercial doors. The solid brass construction resists corrosion for indoor and outdoor installations. The cylinder face measures 1.360 inches (34.5mm) in diameter with a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread.

Mechanical operation with no thermal or power

As a purely mechanical lock cylinder, the unit generates no heat, draws no electricity and produces no audible noise during normal use. There are no electronic components, batteries or wiring to maintain. Performance depends only on the precision of the brass pin tumblers and the cam engagement with the lock body. Lubrication with a dry graphite powder at periodic intervals keeps the action smooth.

Direct replacement for worn or keyed-alike cylinders

This cylinder replaces an existing 1-1/2 inch mortise cylinder with the same 1.150 x 32 UNS thread and 1.360 inch face diameter. The jump is worth it when the original cylinder binds, loses keys or requires a new keyed different combination for security. It will not suit doors prepared for a different cylinder length, a non-standard cam or a larger face diameter. Different sizes are available for other door thicknesses.
