The MAXTECH IC13044 is a Grade 2 storeroom lockset with a polished brass US3 finish. It is designed for commercial doors that must stay locked on the outside while allowing free egress from the inside. The unit ships as a complete kit with knobs, latch, strike, screws and a removal tool.

Capacity and headroom

The 2-3/4" backset and adjustable door-thickness range of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" cover most standard commercial openings. The chassis accepts six- or seven-pin interchangeable cores, so the cylinder can be swapped without removing the lock body. The core itself is not included and must be sourced separately.

Deciding specification

The outside knob is permanently fixed; the latch retracts only by turning the inside knob or using a key in the outside cylinder. Buyers who need a passage or privacy function, or who require an included core, should look at a different lock type.
