The storeroom function keeps the outside lever always locked, requiring a key for every entry, while the inside lever remains free for egress. It is built for commercial or residential doors prepared for the Marks Metro 116DW or 114DW series.

Limits of the storeroom function and prep

The latch-only design omits a deadbolt and rocker, so the lock cannot secure the door independently of the strike. Operation depends on a cylinder on the exterior only, with no interior thumb turn, which means the door cannot be locked or unlocked from inside. The left-hand orientation is fixed and cannot be reversed in the field.
