Slotted screwdriver with 6 inch shaft and 1/4 inch tip for prying and turning fasteners
The Mayhew MAY45004 is a catspaw-style screwdriver built for prying and turning slotted screws. Its 6-inch shaft provides reach in confined areas. The tool suits mechanics and technicians who need a dedicated slotted driver with a prying tip.
A slotted tip contacts only two opposing faces of the screw head. High torque rounds the slot or cams the driver out, damaging the fastener. The design cannot transmit the force that a cross-recess or hex interface handles.
The blade measures .25 inches across, so it fits screws cut for that width. Wider or narrower slots will not seat correctly, making the driver useless for those sizes. Match the tip to the screw before starting work.

The Mayhew MAY45004 is a 1/4 in. x 6 in. slotted catspaw; select this size when you need that exact tip width and shaft length for prying or driving slotted fasteners.
The 1/4 in. tip fits standard slotted heads of that width, while the 6 in. shaft provides reach and leverage for prying or turning in confined spaces.
The slotted tip follows common 1/4 in. dimensions, so it engages matching screw heads but cannot drive Phillips, Torx or other recess types.
