Mayhew Magnetic Pickup Tool 14 lb

CaricaHed Technology eliminates sidepull

CaricaHed Technology eliminates magnet sidepull so the head stays centred on the target during retrieval. The swivel head adjusts to odd angles without fighting lateral magnetic force. This reduces dropped parts and speeds up recovery in confined spaces.

33 in reach handles deep compartments

At 33 in fully extended the tool reaches deep compartments and behind dashboards comfortably. The 14 lb magnetic capacity lifts most nuts bolts and small steel components. Heavier assemblies or non-ferrous items remain outside its capability.

Questions about this item

Does the stainless steel shaft need any lubrication to keep the telescoping action smooth?

The shaft is stainless steel and the handle is PVC; no lubrication schedule is mentioned, so normal wiping after use is sufficient.

At 14 lb magnetic pull, will the magnet hold a heavy steel bracket overhead without slipping?

The maximum pull is 14 lb, so any ferrous part heavier than that will not stay attached.

After hours of reaching into a hot engine bay, does the PVC handle get too warm to hold?

PVC handle material does not conduct heat like metal, so it stays comfortable during extended use.
