Protects a Raspberry Pi 5 while adding M.2 NVMe SSD slots in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes, an active cooler, dual full-size HDMI outputs, a rear USB-C port, GPIO access and power and reset buttons
The DeskPi Lite case fits the Raspberry Pi 5 and adds an Armor Lite V5 active cooler to manage thermals under load. A built-in power button and reset switch give direct control without pulling cables. GPIO pins remain reachable through an expansion board while a dust cover protects unused pins. The design targets makers who want a compact, cooled housing with accessible I/O.
A PCIe x1 HAT routes the Pi 5's PCIe lane to an M-key slot accepting 2230 2242 2260 2280 NVMe drives. This adds fast local storage for operating systems, databases or media caches. Builders needing more than one drive or a PCIe x4 link will not find that capacity here. The single lane also limits peak throughput compared with desktop platforms.
A daughter board converts the Pi 5's micro-HDMI ports to two standard HDMI outputs for straightforward monitor connections. The USB-C power port is rerouted to the rear panel for cleaner cable runs. No additional HATs, cameras or audio boards are included in the package. Users requiring extra headers or specialised add-ons must source them separately.

The case includes a GPIO expansion board and a dust cover, so the header remains accessible and protected while the HAT is installed.
The cooler spins up automatically when the board boots; you can confirm operation by feeling airflow through the case vents or checking the fan-speed reading in the Pi's hardware monitor.
The HAT accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M-key NVMe drives; the package includes the standoffs and screws required to secure the SSD, so no extra hardware is needed.
