Three boards with OV3660 cameras, dual Type-C ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 for IoT and AI projects
The MCDODO ESP32-S3-CAM Development Board combines an ESP32-S3-WROOM N16R8 module with a 2-megapixel OV3660 camera, Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5 in a single package. Three identical boards arrive ready for parallel prototyping or small-batch IoT deployments. Makers working on edge AI, smart surveillance or computer-vision experiments get integrated imaging and wireless connectivity without sourcing separate modules.
One USB Type-C port handles OTG host or device functions while the second provides a TTL serial link for programming and debugging. Both connectors share the board edge, so standard cables plug in without adapters. The shared antenna design keeps the RF path short, but metal enclosures placed close to the board can attenuate the 2.4 GHz signal. Ensure the antenna region stays clear of shielding and large ground planes during integration.
The dual-core 32-bit LX7 processor maintains throughput during continuous image capture and inference, and the supplier notes high stability even at elevated temperatures. Active cooling is not included, so extended AI loops in sealed housings may need external airflow or a heatsink. Power draw rises with camera streaming and Wi-Fi traffic; plan the supply budget for the peak combined load rather than idle figures.

Connect a Type-C cable to the OTG port and open a serial terminal at the default baud rate to view the camera initialisation log and frame capture messages.
Each board needs a USB Type-C cable for power and programming; the pack includes only the three development boards.
All three boards in this pack already use the N16R8 module with 16 MB flash and 8 MB PSRAM, so no higher-capacity version is offered.
