Collectible Jaws 50th statue

This McFarlane Toys resin statue marks the 50th anniversary of the 1975 film with a highly detailed 1:48 scale great white shark. The multicolour polyresin piece measures 4.5 x 8.9 x 9.9 inches and includes a light-up base that illuminates the water scene. Each unit is hand-numbered on the base for authenticity. It suits adult collectors who want a display-ready horror centrepiece.

Upgrade from standard figures

Unlike basic action figures, this statue replaces smaller plastic toys with a premium polyresin sculpt and integrated lighting feature. The jump is worth it when you want a numbered anniversary piece that doubles as an illuminated display rather than a playable toy. The fixed-pose design means it does not suit buyers who want articulated joints or interchangeable accessories.

Check display space and power

Verify you have shelf clearance for the 4.5 x 8.9 x 9.9 inch footprint before ordering. The light-up base requires a power source, so confirm an outlet or battery access is available at the intended display location. As a hand-numbered collectible, it is not intended for rough handling or outdoor exposure.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 1:48 scale resin statue so I can check shelf fit?

The statue measures 4.5 inches wide by 8.9 inches deep by 9.9 inches tall, so allow that footprint plus clearance for the light-up base.

How is the light-up base powered and what is the common setup mistake?

The base requires three AA batteries inserted into the bottom compartment; the step often missed is removing the plastic insulator tab before first use.

Will the hand-numbered base marking wear off with handling over time?

The numbering is printed directly onto the polyresin base surface; avoid rubbing it with abrasive cloths or solvents to preserve the edition mark.
