MCGARD Propeller Locks secure outboard and sterndrive propellers against theft while the boat is in use, stored or transported. The lock replaces the standard propeller nut and uses a unique key pattern that cannot be duplicated without the registered code. Naval brass and hardened stainless steel construction resists corrosion in saltwater environments.

Sustained Exposure Durability

The free-spinning collar defeats gripping tools by rotating under attack force without transferring torque to the locking mechanism. Hardened stainless steel maintains structural integrity after repeated impact or prying attempts. Materials are selected for long-term immersion so the lock remains removable with the correct key after seasons underwater.

Replaces Standard Prop Nut

This lock directly substitutes the factory propeller nut on compatible shafts, adding theft protection without altering propeller fit or performance. Boats kept exclusively in secured, monitored marinas may not need the additional layer.
