Five-port hub with dual card slots
The MCHOSE 5-Port USB 3.0 Hub adds one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and SD plus Micro SD slots to a single host connection. It suits laptop users, photographers and anyone who needs to offload footage from dash cams or surveillance cameras without removing the device from its mount. All five ports operate at the same time.
One host port expands to five peripherals
The hub draws power from the upstream USB connection so no external adapter is required. A USB 3.0 port handles flash drives or hard drives at 5 Gbps while two USB 2.0 ports run mice, keyboards or printers at 480 Mbps. The built-in card reader accepts SDXC, SDHC, Micro SDXC and Micro SDHC media up to 2 TB capacity.
Replaces separate readers and single-port adapters
Carrying one compact splitter removes the need for a dedicated card reader and a separate USB hub. The jump is worthwhile when you regularly swap cards from cameras or action cams and also connect multiple USB accessories. It is not for users who need USB-C connectivity, powered ports for high-draw drives or internal card-reader installation.

Questions about this item
Will the 104 MB/s card-reader speed hold up when I copy large video files all day?
The SD and microSD slots are rated up to 104 MB/s; sustained throughput will depend on the card’s own speed class and the host controller.
Does the hub get hot or draw extra power when all five ports are used continuously?
The hub is bus-powered from the host USB port and has no active cooling; prolonged full-load use may cause warmth but no fan noise.
What host port does my laptop need for this hub to work?
It connects through a standard USB 3.0 Type-A port and is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 hosts.
