Ideal for oversized artwork and photos

Crafted from sturdy MDF, the MCS Hampton Contours Frame measures 16 x 20 inches (40.6 x 50.8 cm) and comes in a chocolate finish. The 2.75-inch wide moulding (7 cm) provides a substantial border. This 4-pack suits collectors or galleries needing multiple matching frames for large-format prints.

5/16-inch rabbet depth secures the artwork

The single critical specification is the 5/16-inch rabbet, which determines the maximum thickness of the art package — glass, mat board, artwork and backing — that fits inside. If your mounted piece exceeds this depth, the turn buttons will not close and the frame will not hold the work securely.

D-ring hangers and turn buttons simplify mounting

Two D-ring hangers allow vertical or horizontal wall display using picture hooks or screws. The flexible turn buttons swivel aside for loading and lock down to clamp the artwork stack against the glass. The most common issue is over-tightening the buttons, which can bow the MDF rabbet or crack the glass face.

Questions about this item

How does the 16 x 20 inch size work with a standard print?

The frame holds a 16 x 20 inch photo or artwork directly behind the glass; the 5/16 inch rabbet provides enough depth for the print and a backing board without crowding.

What does the glass face mean for display clarity and protection?

The flat glass front protects the artwork from dust and fingerprints while keeping colours and details sharp under normal indoor lighting.

What mounting hardware is included for the 2.75 inch wide moulding?

D-ring hangers are pre-attached to the MDF frame, allowing secure vertical or horizontal hanging on standard picture hooks or nails.
