Mortise cylinder with patented key control

The Medeco 10-5400-605-00 is a 1-3/4" mortise cylinder finished in bright brass. It uses a 6-pin tumbler mechanism with patented key control to restrict unauthorised duplication. The cylinder meets UL437 physical security requirements and includes two keys. It is intended for commercial and residential doors that accept a standard mortise cylinder.

Suits Schlage L cam retrofit.

This cylinder carries a ct-z34 Schlage L cam on the back to operate the lock mechanism. It threads into the mortise lockset and is secured by a set screw, making it a direct retrofit for hardware designed around that cam style. Buyers whose locksets require a different cam shape or a non-threaded cylinder should look at other options.

UL437 rating confirms high physical security

The single specification that decides fit is the UL437 listing, which certifies resistance to drilling, picking and other physical attacks. If your project demands that level of certified security, this cylinder meets it; if the application only requires a basic keyed cylinder, the UL437 rating may be more than necessary.
